WEBSITE INFORMATION
Privacy Statement
This privacy notice is undergoing final review. Contact the office with any questions about how your enquiry is handled.
Who to contact
Notary Cork City is the website for David Sweeney’s notarial service at Sweeney Solicitors, 15 South Terrace, Cork. Questions about this website or your personal information can be directed to David Sweeney at info@sweeneysolicitors.ie, by post to the office, or on 1800 246442.
Information you provide
The enquiry form asks for your name, email address, an optional telephone number and a short message. We use these details to answer your question, discuss your requirements and arrange an appointment. An enquiry does not confirm an appointment or create a professional engagement. Please do not include passport numbers, financial information, sensitive documents or information about other people in your initial message.
Why information is used
Where you ask about engaging our services, enquiry details are used to take steps at your request before an engagement. Other correspondence is handled for the legitimate interest of answering questions and operating the service. Technical information is processed to deliver and protect the website. Optional analytics is based on your consent and is not required to make an enquiry.
Website and email providers
Netlify hosts the website and processes form submissions. Resend delivers the enquiry notification through Sweeney’s email-sending account to the office inbox, with a copy to Robert Hawkes at Method Marketing for launch monitoring and technical support. Resend also sends an acknowledgement to the email address supplied with the enquiry. Method Marketing provides website administration and technical support. These services may process technical information such as IP addresses, request times and delivery records. The form does not upload files or create a separate client account.
Some providers operate internationally. Their processing arrangements, subprocessors and applicable transfer safeguards are described in Netlify’s privacy information, Resend’s privacy information and Google’s privacy information. Contact the office for information about the arrangements applicable to your enquiry.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics is loaded only after you accept analytics. It measures page visits and actions such as successful enquiry submissions and clicks to call or email. The website does not send your name, email address, telephone number or enquiry message to Analytics. Advertising features are disabled. You can reject analytics or withdraw permission using Cookie settings in the footer. Withdrawal stops future collection; it does not undo processing that occurred before withdrawal. See the Cookie Policy.
Keeping information
Enquiry information should be kept only for as long as needed to answer and follow up the enquiry, and to meet any applicable legal, professional or record-keeping obligations. If an enquiry becomes a client matter, the office’s client-file retention arrangements apply. Please contact the office about retention of a particular enquiry. Cookie choices and Analytics cookies on this website expire after six months.
Your rights
Subject to the circumstances and applicable law, you can request access to, correction or deletion of personal information, restriction of processing, or a portable copy. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Contact the office using the details above. Information may be needed to verify your identity before a request is fulfilled.
You can also complain to Ireland’s Data Protection Commission.
